Josh Mohling, a senior at Holy Family Catholic School in Victoria, focuses his time on athletic, academic and community excellence. This year, Mohling is captain of the varsity soccer team. He is also on the varsity tennis team.
In addition to playing sports, Mohling takes classes to prepare him for college. “I really enjoy subjects like AP government,” Mohling says. With a GPA of 3.96, he is well on his way to pursuing a major in political science and a minor in history.
Mohling also spends his free time volunteering at the Waconia United Food Shelf and leading a group of students to cook breakfast for homeless people at the Simpson House. “My advice to younger students would be to take those hard classes, stay involved with school and keep a sense of community,” Mohling says.
