Chanhassen High School swimmer Kaia Grobe has set three state records for relays in three years, and earned nine state medals. The high school senior, who began swimming when she was 5 years old, is a captain for the Chanhassen High School varsity swim team, and she also swims year-round for Aquajets, a club team in the area. “It’s like a second home to me,” Grobe says of the pool. “I’m most comfortable in the water.”
In addition to swimming, Grobe is a DECA officer and is involved in Key Club, a service organization for high school students. She plans to attend the University of Minnesota in the fall, where she will swim competitively for the Big Ten university.
