Even before Facebook and Instagram, Eden Prairie’s Christine Neff Kojetin loved to document her surroundings. “I was always the person at the parties with the camera,” Neff Kojetin says of her college years.
But like many mothers, Neff Kojetin’s interest in formal photography took off after the birth of her first child, Alexandra, now 6. Her baby’s arrival provided the perfect excuse to upgrade her camera to a DSLR.
While working full time in marketing and raising her two young children with husband Tim Kojetin doesn’t leave her much free time, photography is a passion she continues to pursue, documenting her children’s growth along with the natural beauty she finds in the world around her.
This shot was taken on a family outing at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. As Neff Kojetin sat in the grass near the Sensory Garden, taking pictures of her son, she glanced up at a nearby bench and saw Tim and Alexandra deep in conversation. She redirected her lens and clicked off a couple frames. “It was just kind of a sweet moment,” she says.
