It’s never too soon to start planning this year’s garden. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum features a variety of classes to help you get started, whether you’re looking to add greenery indoors (Houseplant Patrol on March 7) or create a specialized garden (Creating Habitat for Birds and Butterflies in your Yard and Garden on March 14 or Kitchen Garden: A Bountiful Edible Landscape on April 18).
Kickstart your plans with Get Growing: A Day of Gardening Workshops from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 4 at the arboretum. Choose from a variety of sessions to get an overview on a wide range of gardening topics. Start the morning with coffee and light breakfast refreshments before heading off to the classes of your choice. Enjoy lunch, and take home a bag filled with gardening goodies. The workshop is $95 for arboretum members and $110 for non-members.
