Whether it’s coffee, tea or cocoa, we all have our favorite warm drinks for cold days, but perhaps it’s time to brighten up the bleak midwinter with new flavors. Be bold. Try a new take on your go-to beverage at these southwest metro restaurants.

The party season might be over, but that’s no reason to stop entertaining friends and family. This fabulous cocktail might even remind you of your island vacation. Here is one of my favorites, and I know you will love it, too.

Noodles? Pasta? Call it whatever you like. Just about every cuisine has its own special version made from wheat, rice or other grain. So take a noodle-pasta food flight without leaving home. These local pasta and noodle dishes will delight young and old.

It started simply: An Eden Prairie family cored, sliced and dehydrated a few apples, and then gave them as gifts to family and friends.

But when those same friends and relatives started pleading for more apple chips, a family business was born.
