The 84th Miss Minnesota Competition was held on June 22 in Eden Prairie. Kathryn Kueppers was crowned the winner, and her talent is in the category of jazz vocal, and her social impact initiative is The Invisible Crown: the Legacy of Miss America.

The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum opened its doors for Passport to Spring, including nine displays that each featured an international country; a French-inspired glass garden house and 26 pieces by sculptor Nick Legeros.
