Arboretum Free January Admissions

This is the cure for cabin fever: free gate admission at the Arboretum. There is lots to do, here are a few ideas: visit the Conservatory, 3 Art Galleries and the Library. Buy a cookie, breakfast or lunch in the Cafe. Bring your own Nordic skis or snowshoes and take a trek on the groomed trails. Stroll through the winter gardens and snap a few pictures, send us your photos at #mnarblife!  Don't forget the kids and spend time hunting the hidden birds, attend story time in the library and visit the YouBetcha stick structure.  Excludes Friday evening, Jan 31 Flower Show Preview Event. Winter Trails Day 2020

Want a day of fun and family time? Come and participate in numerous outdoor activities at Fort Snelling State Park. Activities include ice-fishing, snowshoeing, fat-tire biking, archery and more! All the necessary equipment is provided and make sure to grab a hot chocolate in between activities! All ages. Read more about Winter Trails Day 2020

Arboretum Yoga in the Gardens

This class will be taught by Spirit of the Lakes Yoga & Wellness Center in the MacMillan Auditorium. Please bring your own mat if possible and don't forget your water bottle. Arboretum Tai Chi in the Garden

Join us with Balanced Life Tai Chi Instructor on January 26 at noon in the MacMillan Auditorium, MN Landscape Arboretum. Please bring your own mat if possible and don't forget your water bottle. Polar Dash

Run like a Yeti for Minnesota’s 13th annual Polar Dash. Compete in one of two challenges by running in multiple races or go all in for the 2020M. All registered adults will receive a medal and either a Polar Dash performance fleece or jacket. Registered youth runners will receive a Polar Dash hat. Half marathon 8 a.m., 10K 9 a.m., 5K 10:30 a.m., Heat 1 2020M 10:20 a.m., Heat 2 2020M 11:20 a.m. Read more about Polar Dash

Reindeer Run

Calling all runners and walkers! It’s time for the 32nd annual Reindeer Run. Participants will choose from a variety of race options and race around Lake Harriet. There’s the Kids Run, 5k Not Time, 5k Chip Time, 10k Chip Time and the Yukon Challenge 15k. Every participant will receive a long-sleeve performance T-shirt and a finisher medallion.   Read more about Reindeer Run

0.5K Winter Beer Dash

You don’t have to be a runner to enjoy this event! The Minnesota Brewery Running Series is hosting a dash between Bauhaus Brew Labs and 612Brew. The run only lasts a few blocks, and you’re invited to take your time getting from one brewery to the other. All are invited to participate, but to enjoy the beer you must be 21 and up.
