patrons would tell stories, eat steak and drink ale.
Attendees wore butcher aprons and used the skirt
of the apron to wipe grease off their hands and
face. Neither silverware nor napkins were allowed.

Paired with red wine, covering strawberries or flowing freely from a fountain, chocolate is America’s favorite mood-lifting, endorphin-releasing super food. Spend the morning in a workshop dedicated entirely to chocolate, led by Kris James, culinary instructor and chef. Work in a group to create delectable chocolate treats such as white chocolate and basil mousse and chocolate and goat cheese truffles. Limit 20. Registration required.
