Wander through the open private studios and galleries to view a variety of creative mediums from more than 800 local Minneapolis artists. As the largest open studio tour in the country, visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves in the vibrant world of art through viewing, purchasing and connecting with the artists themselves.

Celebrate the Worldwide Day of Botanical Art with with the opening reception of "Out of the Woods," a national traveling art exhibition celebrating trees in public gardens. The event will also feature demonstrations and tours by artists from the Minnesota School of Botanical Art and a presentation by Director of Exhibitions for the American Society of Botanical Artists Carol Woodin.
Artist Patrick Dougherty and a team of Arboretum volunteers will create a unique art installation on Scarecrow Hill. Once completed, the installation will be on display at the Arboretum for the next 1-2 years.
The building process will be viewable at Scarecrow Hill daily from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
The Arts Consortium of Carver County will celebrate Poetry Month and the 2019 Poetry Contest winners at Writers Read Poetry. The theme of the evening is "Minnesota: Our Home." Winners, honorable mentions and others will read their poems. The Arts Consortium says they may have a standing-room only crowd for this event!
