If you’re featuring a charcuterie board at a party, and you want to serve cocktails, choosing the event beverage depends on the food elements. Take note—if there are a lot of higher acidity selections on the charcuterie platter, such as cured sausages, pair them with a citrus cocktail, such as a Citrus Manhattan, as acid needs more acid.
2 oz. bourbon
¾ oz. lemon juice
½ oz. simple syrup
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Shake all ingredients with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with blood orange, naval orange or lemon.
