Minnesota History Center’s “Then Now Wow” exhibit.

Learn about the southwest metro’s agricultural roots at the Minnesota History Center.

Skip Black Friday and enjoy some post-Thanksgiving family time at the Minnesota History Center’s new family-friendly exhibit. “Then Now Wow,” the largest exhibit the St. Paul-based history museum has put together, tells the story of Minnesota by focusing on pivotal moments that shaped the state. Designed with children in mind, the interactive exhibit explores immigration, transportation, family life, natural environments and Minnesota industries, like fur trade, mining and agriculture. Don’t miss the exhibit’s opening weekend on November 23–24, with live performances by Charlie Parr, photo opportunities with Paul Bunyan, dancing, storytelling, trivia, crafts and demonstrations.
