Southwest Metro Restaurants Cooking with Bacon

Whether it's savory or sweet, a good case can be made for adding bacon to your entrée this month.
Savory and sweet collide in bacon maple long johns from Mackenthun's in Waconia.

Bacon: It’s not just for breakfast anymore. Menus around the southwest metro are plush with bacon dishes, from breakfast frittatas to sweet maple bacon long johns, burgers, soups and salads. The aroma, the flavor and the crispy snap are just a few of the unmistakable and distinct characteristics that make bacon so well loved. Bacon makes us—in a word—happy. If bacon is what you’re yearning for, you won’t have to drive far to find it.
