Annual Ice Fishing Contests in Chanhassen, Chaska and Victoria

Chaska Fire Relief Association’s 59th Annual Fishing Contest
The competition begins at 1 p.m. January 30 at Chaska’s Fireman’s Park. Register at the Chaska Event Center and there is no charge to sign up. Festival starts at noon; fishing starts at 1 p.m.

February Festival Ice Fishing Contest
One of the most popular aspects of Chanhassen’s annual February Festival is the ice fishing competition on Lake Ann. Join the fun at noon February 6. Register at City Hall, Chanhassen Recreation Center or at Lake Ann Park on the day of the event. Organizers plan to give out about 150 prizes; details to be determined. Registration is $10.

Victoria Fire Relief Ice Fishing Contest
The Victoria Fire Department’s contest is February 7 on the ice of Steiger Lake. Fishing begins at 12:30 p.m.and registration is $2, which includes entry to the raffle. The raffle will include eight large prizes for fishing from local businesses and several smaller prizes throughout the day. Tickets can be purchased on the ice the day-of or from any Victoria firefighter prior to the event.
