Handmade Holiday Wreaths in Chaska

Chaska resident Becca Richardson had no idea that her knack for crafts could turn into a business, but her handmade fabric wreaths are in high demand. Inspired by a Pinterest tutorial in early 2012, Richardson began experimenting with materials to create wreaths of her own as gifts, and she soon found her crafting niche.

“It’s a nice way to relax and take a little time for myself,” the stay-at-home mom of two boys says.  So in February 2012, she set up shop on Etsy, an online haven for artisans and craft-lovers, and Becca’s Crafty Corner was born—she’s sold more than 50 wreaths since.

Although Richardson has been contacted by craft fairs and small boutiques about selling her wreaths, she’s happy on Etsy for now.  “I may eventually venture into that,” she says.
