February Festival

Held the first Saturday of February, this annual event attracts roughly 1,500 to 2,000 participants, spectators and visitors. It’s a winter celebration with ice skating, s’mores cookout, bonfire, horse-drawn hayride, sledding hill, door prizes and concessions. And don’t forget about the ever-popular ice-fishing contest (with more than 1,000 fishing holes drilled in the ice). Free. Teen Movie: Spiderman

Bring a pillow, unwind with friends and watch as a boy, once bitten by a spider, swings between skyscrapers. Spiderman embraces his heroic nature until opposed by a new villain. Don’t forget to wear a face mask to enter into a drawing to win prizes. Grades 6–12. Registration required. Bowling and Golf–On Ice!

Spend your Sunday with your family playing miniature golf on ice. The course is complete with tunnels, obstacles, and holes drilled into the ice. Ice bowling will also be set up for visitors. Warm up afterward with hot cocoa by the fire. 20 percent discount for groups of four or more. Donuts with Santa

Bring your kids, ages 2 to 6, to the Chaska Community Center for Donuts with Santa. This morning will feature crafts, games, and snacks, as well as activities for parents to share with their children. $5.50 member, $7 non-member. Waconia Fall Festival

Dress up in your favorite costume and bring your kids for a night filled with Halloween fun. There will be more than 30 carnival games, a moonwalk, food and candy. Sever’s Corn Maze

Kindermusik With Friends

The Kindermusik Program has expanded, and now has two studios in Chanhassen at the same location! Come meet their teachers, see the expansion and join in the musical fun as they dance, sing and play instruments!

Horseback Riding

As part of the youth adventures program at the Chaska Community Center, your pre-teen or teenager can enjoy some of the most exciting outdoor activities of summer. The horseback riding event will include equipment, instruction and transportation to and from the farm.
