Minnesota Heroes Advantage Beer Tasting

Help us celebrate the launch of Minnesota Heroes Advantage, a homeownership benefits program for military and first responders, and drink for a cause by joining us December 13th at Nutmeg Brewhouse in Burnsville between 4:30 and 8pm. The suggested donation is $5, and all proceeds will go to United Heroes League. The United Heroes League mission is to ensure that children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in sports.

Howl O'ween 5K

Join Carver Scott County on Saturday, October 21 for our most spectacular and
spookiest 5k yet! We’ve re”vamped” our annual walk to bring you more
family fun and fall festivities than ever before (and all the
alliteration you can handle)! Our Howl O’ Ween 5k is one of our biggest
annual fundraisers – support Carver Scott Humane Society so we can continue to serve local
animals and their people.

Twin Cities Team Hope Run/Walk

Be one of the hundreds of supporters and participants at the Twin Cities Team Hope Walk & 5k Run, which supports the fight against Huntington's Disease and the search for a cure! Runners/walkers of all endurance levels will enjoy this urban park trailthat traverses through creeks, wetlands, lakes, and forest. Scenic Purgatory Creek Park and the comradery of a good sweat for a great cause will leave you feeling on top of the world!

Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® Twin Cities

Held annually in more than 600 communities nationwide, the Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This inspiring event calls on participants of all ages and abilities to join the fight against this disease!

Take the first step by finding a Walk near you. Once you register, you’ll have access to a wide range of tools and support through your customized Participant Center. Join us and lead the way to Alzheimer's first survivor. Together, we can end Alzheimer’s disease!

Organization Description: Hammer Residences, Inc. is a Minnesota non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 1923 by Alvina Hammer, Hammer provides residential caring support for adult and children with developmental disabilities. Hammer Residences, Inc. serves more than 1500 individuals with a wide range of intellectual disabilities like Autism and Down syndrome. 275 adults reside in 36 group homes and 10 apartment programs in the western suburbs of Minneapolis.

Around the World Safely Benefit 2017- Depart Smart

Global travel is about to get safer. On May 18, 2017, hundreds of Minnesota residents and business leaders will get their first glimpse at what’s supporting this change during the sixth-annual Around the World Safely benefit. The event supports Depart Smart, the trusted third-party, nonprofit resource for transformative tools and information to help people, especially students, make informed decisions so they return with rewarding experiences in a $7 trillion  self-regulated travel and tourism industry.

Don’t Worry, Be Hoppy 5K Run/Walk

Don’t Worry, Be Hoppy is back for its third annual 5K at the Waconia Brewing Company. This run is a whole family affair with a 5k run for adults in the morning and a Kids Fun Run around the Waconia Brewing Company block. All participants in the 5K will get one beer (or root beer for kids) brewed by the Waconia Brewing Company, as well as a custom printed Don’t Worry, Be Hoppy T-shirt.

Breanna’s Star: a Night of Art, Celebration and Giving

Breanna’s Star is a Night of Art, Celebration and Giving in support of Breanna’s Gift, an organization bringing classes & workshops in visual arts, dance, music, theater and “Art Takeout” to children at Ronald McDonald House Upper Midwest and Children’s Minnesota in St. Paul and Minneapolis. The event includes appetizers, wine and beer, silent and live auctions, a make-it-yourself art project and entertainment by country/rock/swing band Trailer Trash. Attire is casual.

Alzheimer’s Association Purple Gala – 25th Anniversary

The
Alzheimer’s Association annual Purple Gala is a time to celebrate and honor the
lives of people impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. The evening
includes a reception and silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner, live
auction, entertainment, and after party with a live band. Proceeds from the
Gala raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
