Kick off the week of celebrations with Minnesota’s largest nighttime parade along Hennepin Avenue, marvel at the Twin Cities River Rats as they perform entertaining tricks on the water, up your fitness game and partake in the Torchlight 5k or sit back and watch in awe at one of the top five annual firework displays in the nation on Saturday evening. With a wide range of events, there is something fit for all shapes and sizes.
One Voice Mixed Chorus presents Resistance and Resilience on June 29 and 30 at the Ordway Concert Hall. Through song and spoken word the concert portrays the strength of spirit and toughness that has been so fundamental to the struggle for human rights in the LGBTQ+ and African American communities.
The Jazz Women All Stars will be at Crooners Supper Club on June 21 at 7:30. Featured women are Mary Louise Knutson-piano, Joan Griffith-bass, Sheila Earley-drums, Mary Petrich-sax, and welcoming back Patty's sister and special guest, Linda Peterson. Tickets are on sale now. The Eden Prairie Players will hold auditions for their 2019 Collection of One Acts June 25 and 26. They are looking to fill 22 roles, all adults except for one teenage girl and one preteen girl (actors age 9 and above will be considered).

Head to the Arts Consortium of Carver County Friday, June 7 to celebrate the talented songwriters and musicians of the area. The consortium will host a CD release party for Volume V ofThe Songwriters and Musicians of Carver County.
Performing at the concert will be Bob Mueller, Holly Holldorson, Tara B, Ted Hajnasiewicz, Tom Bright, Tanecsha Jones, Yvette Nelson and Blue Skies Band.
