It seems like just yesterday I was in my senior year of high school, itching to abound on my college adventure. I fondly remember being excited for the next four years of my life, but not wanting an era to end. I didn't dance in high school, yet I can fully understand the emotions the senior dancers on the Eden Prairie Pom Squad are feeling this last semester.
The Pom Squad is a nationally well-known and ranked team. Teams and schools throughout the nation hold them in high regard and appreciate what they give to the art of dance. I had the opportunity to sit down with this year's team's four captains, and found myself wishing I was five years younger so we could strike up a friendship. They were down to earth, funny, hardworking and truly committed to bettering their community through giving back. As they head to nationals on February 2nd, I will be rooting for them. I hope you all will be too.
