New Shops!

Check out new occasional shops in Chaska, Heartbreakers in Eden Prairie and The Garden By the Woods in Chanhassen.

Forgive me, some of these "new" shops are actually several months old, but I don't get out of the house too much with an infant, so these lovely boutiques are new to me—and, I suspect, to a few of you, too:

Southern Charmed & Griffins Antiques | Chaska

Two new occasional shops opened in April in Chaska: Southern Charmed and Griffins Antiques.

Southern Charmed, which is owned by Gabrielle Ulan (we featured her journals in our November issue), carries some of Ulan's handmade items, including journals and quilts, as well as a variety of purses and other accessories and some shabby chic home decor from other vendors. Ulan is also a photographer, and the store also provides her with some studio space.

Griffin Antiques carries a wide variety of antique and vintage finds with a rustic cottage feel.

Both stores are open on the third weekend of each month, but they're having a fabulous one-day sale (with their neighbor, Linda's Cellar) from noon–7 p.m. on Thursday, May 31. The shops are located on 2nd St. E in downtown Chaska.

Heartbreakers | Eden Prairie

Heartbreakers opened May 3 at 16490 W. 78th St. in Eden Prairie. The Minnesota-based chain of clothing stores, which got its start in 1979 in Uptown Minneapolis, features stylish, trendy fashions at affordable prices.

The Garden By the Woods | Chanhassen

The new gardening center, which opened in April the space formerly inhabited by Lotus Lawn and Garden (near the intersection of Hwy 5 and 101 in Chanhassen), features plenty of plants for your gardening and landscaping needs, pots, gardening tools and a few items that will add a touch of whimsy to your garden. The shop also offers landscaping services from By the Woods.
