Chaska Athletic Field: Home to the Chaska Cubs
The Chaska Cubs have been entertaining crowds and playing America’s greatest pastime for more than 80 years now. So you know when they tell you that the Chaska Athletic Field is the “best outdoor baseball park,” they’re onto something.
The Chaska Athletic Field was built in 1950 and included something pretty remarkable: the state’s first electronic scoreboard. The Chaska Cubs played the Field’s inaugural game on June 14, 1950. Throughout the remainder of the century, the Cubs became accustomed to showing up at State tournaments and are still doing it to this day. Team manager John Seifert, who has led the Cubs to State 15 out of 19 times, anticipates another good season with the “great board” of local players, who not only play well, but keep up attendance throughout the summer.
Every game promises to be fun and affordable for the whole family with free admission for kids 18 and under, $1 for seniors and $3 for adults. Visit chaskacubs.com for the complete game schedule.
